Using a custom built local Neural Network, Helios created a self-guided app that allowed guests to snap photos of themselves, choose a style and then watch as their portraits were transformed into works of art. The technique, which is called Neural Style Transfer, uses deep learning (a form of Artificial Intelligence) to intelligently create a unique image combining the ‘content’ image (i.e., guest’s photo) with a ‘style’ image (i.e., predetermined artistic image). Guests could receive a digital version via email which could be instantly shared to social media.
